Riding
How do I request a ride?
Open the Trippool app, or use Request a ride on this website. Enter your pickup and drop-off, compare the prices, choose a ride type and confirm. You pay your driver in cash.
How is my fare worked out?
Your fare depends on the trip distance, the ride type, the time of day (a night rate applies late at night) and demand. You see the price before you request, and fares shown are estimates that may vary.
Which ride types are there?
Trippool is our quickest option. Wait & Save costs less if you can wait a little longer. Comfort uses newer vehicles with top-rated drivers. Student offers a discount to verified students, For Women is driven by verified women drivers, and Commute shares rides on set commuter routes. Courier sends packages across town. What you see depends on the drivers available near you.
How do I cancel a ride?
You can cancel a ride request at no charge before a driver has been matched. After a driver is matched a cancellation fee may apply, shown in the app when you cancel.
What is the PIN for?
When a driver is matched you get a PIN. Check that the driver and vehicle match what you see, then give your driver the PIN to start the trip. It helps make sure you get into the right car.
I left something in a vehicle. What do I do?
Use the Lost item option in the Trippool app to get in touch about your trip as soon as you can.
Trippool Commute
What is Trippool Commute?
Commute is our shared ride option for people who make the same trip every day. Instead of paying for a whole car, you travel with commuters heading in the same direction, so you can cut your daily transport costs by up to 90%.
How does Commute work, step by step?
1. Open the Trippool app and enter your pickup and drop-off. 2. Choose Commute from the ride types. Commute runs on set commuter routes, so it shows when your trip fits one. 3. Confirm your request and you are matched with a driver and the co-riders heading the same way, up to 3 co-riders per car. 4. You get a PIN. Check the driver and vehicle match what you see in the app, then give the driver your PIN to start. 5. Ride together, then get off at your drop-off. 6. Pay your driver in cash.
How much does Commute cost?
Commute has a flat fare of $1.00 per trip, no matter the distance, and it does not change with demand or the time of day. You see the price before you confirm and you pay your driver in cash.
Who will I be riding with?
Up to 3 other riders who are travelling in the same direction as you on the same commuter route. Drivers are verified, and your PIN check makes sure you get into the right car.
Why isn't Commute showing for my trip?
Commute only runs on set commuter routes, so it only appears when your pickup and drop-off fit one. If it is not shown, pick another ride type such as Wait & Save or Trippool, which work for any trip. What you see also depends on the drivers available near you.
Can I cancel a Commute ride?
Yes. You can cancel at no charge before a driver has been matched. After that a cancellation fee may apply, shown in the app when you cancel, because the car and your co-riders are already counting on you.
Is Commute safe?
Every driver goes through identity verification, a vehicle inspection and a driver's licence check. Use the PIN to confirm you are in the right car, and use the Help feature in the app if anything about a trip worries you.
Driving
How do I become a driver?
Download the Trippool Driver app, create your profile and upload your documents. Every driver goes through identity verification, a vehicle inspection and a driver's licence check before being approved.
How do I see my earnings?
Your trips, earnings and anything due to Trippool are shown in the Driver app.
Fleet
What is Trippool Fleet?
Fleet is for people who own vehicles. Add your vehicles, assign drivers and follow earnings and documents from the fleet dashboard, and list vehicles on the marketplace.
How do I sign up for Fleet?
Create a fleet account, add your vehicles and upload the documents we ask for.
Foodadvisor
How do I order food or groceries?
Go to Foodadvisor, set your delivery address, choose a store and add items to your basket. At checkout choose delivery or pickup and place your order. You pay in cash when it arrives or when you collect it.
How much does delivery cost?
The delivery fee depends on how far you are from the store, and you see it before you place your order. Stores outside the delivery range cannot be ordered from for delivery, but you can still choose pickup.
Can I cancel a food order?
Yes, from your order page, until the store has accepted it. After that, please contact the store directly.
I own a store. How do I sell on Foodadvisor?
Store owners can register and manage their menu, hours and orders in the Foodadvisor merchant dashboard.
Account & payments
How do I pay?
Rides and Foodadvisor orders are paid in cash: to your driver at the end of a ride, or when your food arrives or is collected.
Do you offer refunds?
Trippool does not currently offer refunds. Rides and Foodadvisor orders are paid in cash, so you only pay for what you receive. If something went wrong, contact support and we will look into it.
How do I use a promo code?
Add your promo code in the Trippool app before you request your ride. The discount is shown in the price.
How do I delete my data or account?
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@trippool.co.zw.
